Description: 

Overview of the basic materials and approach to plein air painting emphasizing composition, value differences, color mixing and layered application

Materials list: 

Materials: 

• Paint - White, Red (light or medium), lemon yellow, cadmium orange, french ultramarine blue, olive green, burnt umber.  

• brushes 4-5 different sizes starting with size 8 and lower, one size 10, preferably flat, bristle for oils 

• palette 

• mineral spirits or water in a pint size container 

• rags, paper towels  

• small paint scraper 

• if needed a small lightweight tv tray, a portable easel 

• a canvas size 20x24 or smaller.  

• a portable chair if needed 

• bug repellent spray
