New River Tubing

Overview of the Experience: 

Join Radford University Outdoors for a fun day floating on the New River! Relax, enjoy the scenic views, and spend time with friends as we tube down one of Southwest Virginia’s most iconic waterways. Transportation, tubes, and safety equipment are provided. No experience necessary! 

Capacity: 20 participants. 

What to Bring: Water bottle, towel, water clothes, water shoes, and change of clothes for after (there will be a bathroom near the parking lot.) 

Where to Meet: Shelter 3 at Bisset Park, Radford VA 

Meet Time: 12:30pm, expect to finish around 3:30pm 

*lunch is not provided – be sure to arrive early and enjoy lunch in downtown Radford*

  • A fun and relaxing float along the scenic New River. 
  • Transportation to and from the tubing location. 
  • Tubes and required safety equipment provided. 
  • Safety instructions and support from experienced Outdoor Programs staff. 
  • Opportunities to connect with friends and meet new people. 
  • Beautiful river views, peaceful stretches of water, and a memorable outdoor adventure. 
  • No prior tubing experience required; beginners are welcome.
