Highland Summer Conference

Annual Highland Summer Conference will be held at Radford University Selu Conservancy, July 20-24, 2026

Five Days of writing, reading and music. The writing workshop features guest Marianne Worthington, author, editor and teacher.

Conference Registration: $500 general, $450 for students and seniors (60+)

Location: Radford University (housing available at main campus) and Selu Conservancy 

DO YOU WANT TO EARN THREE CREDIT HOURS? Register for the conference as a class instead! 

Conference registration is not required for students who enroll as students seeking credit. This registration is for those who are participating in the week's events without earning course credit. To earn three hours of course credit, you need to register for the Highland Summer Conference as a class instead (English 490 or Appalachian Studies 490, with an option to take either for graduate credit as 590). 

Accomodations available at SELU. The bunk room is available as well as camping on-premise. Linens and toiletries are not provided.
